About Ashwinpaul (Tony) C. Sondhi, Ph.D

Mr. Ashwinpaul (Tony) Sondhi, President of A. C. Sondhi & Associates, LLC is currently a member of the Emerging Issues Task Force (EITF) of the Financial Accounting Standards Board (FASB) and its agenda committee. He serves on the Investor Advisory Group (IAG) of the Public Company Accounting Oversight Board (PCAOB). He was a member of the 2008 Expert Advisory Panel on the Fair Value of Illiquid Financial Instruments of the International Accounting Standards Board (IASB).
Mr. Sondhi served on the Accounting Standards Executive Committee (AcSEC) of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA) and the Planning Subcommittee of the AcSEC. He was a member of the Statement of Cash Flows Steering Committee of the International Accounting Standards Committee and the FASB Task Force on Accounting for Impairments of Long-Lived Assets.
He co-authored the 2006-2009 editions of the CCH Revenue Recognition Guide, and The Analysis and Use of Financial Statements. Mr. Sondhi also co-edited Credit Analysis of Nontraditional Debt Securities, co-authored Impairments and Write-offs of Long-lived Assets, and Off-Balance Sheet Financing Techniques. His new book, Cloud Computing: Financial Reporting and Risks, will be published in September, 2011.
Mr. Sondhi serves as a technical advisor to two regional accounting firms and several U.S. and foreign companies. His consulting, litigation support, and expert witnessing activities include revenue reporting in several industries, consolidation policy, variable interest entities, acquisition accounting, securitizations (reporting and valuation), fair value (reporting and valuation), credit analysis, and valuation.
